Anchored in Hope

We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself.

Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold, and where Jesus, our forerunner, has gone in before us. He is now and forever our royal Priest like Melchizedek.

— Hebrews 6:19-20 (TPT)

The year has nearly come to an end but the uncertainty of the times we live in still persists. Many of us have had to take a re-check on the things that we have put our hope and security in. And re-examine what hope really is.

What is hope? Oxford Dictionaries define it as a feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen and a feeling of trust. Is it merely a subjective feeling? Or a future objective reality that you wish to see happen? Or is hope a person or event that makes your confidence sure?

Join us for this exciting new sermon series “Anchored in Hope” and we will examine how while hope in “chariots and princes” (earthly places and people) may prove futile, hope in God is more than a feeling, it is the power of the Holy Spirit that will fill you with all joy and peace as you trust God and overflow with hope! (Romans 15:13)
