“Rediscovering God’s Goodness through the Bible” Monday classes

This is a 4-part teaching series by Joash Chee & Ps Jeff Yuen

About this course:

Have you ever been challenged by people saying, “How can I believe your God is good when there is so much evil in this world”?

Or “If God is good and knows everything, why did He do things that seemed destined to set up humanity for a fall?” in reference to planting the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

When churches seemingly mishandle money, some people have asked, “Does your God require you to pay tithes even in your lack and suffering, only to profit ministers who preach about prosperity?”

In this course, we set up a systematic framework that is biblically based around the unchanging aspect that God is good. We aim to carefully examine questions such as:

– Holiness and Justice of God

– Free Will and Predestination

– Persistence of evil and darkness

– Tithing and giving

Re:start – Back to God’s Great Design

About “Re:start”
The goal is to bring you back to the heart and intent of how God sees you. Let’s say a guy tells his girlfriend that she doesn’t look good because she has gained weight. So the girl starts on a weight loss programme to become the ideal girl in her lover’s eyes. What changed? Her value.

In the same way, when we see that we are not good enough for God, we try very hard to be the kind of ideal lover we are sure God would want us to be. But what if we knew that the same thing God said to Jesus without Him doing anything to prove His worth is the same thing that God is saying to us at this very present moment? Simply, “You are my beloved son (or daughter) with whom I am well pleased.”

Once you grasp this truth, your value changes because God came to restore you to your original value.
